I need a new set of tires. I want low noise, great ride and long wear. I'm in Texas so i don't need snow tires and it never rains, so mud is not a problem.

Contitracs will cost me about $90 each out the door. The Michelins would be about $120. Forget the cost. I want the tire that best meets my needs.

Help. Experience?

I have Contitracs on my stock rims right now and they aren't that great. Treadwear is good, but wet traction is poor and dry traction is average at best. They do get a little noisy too.

I would go with the Michelins.

Go with the Michelins. Worth every extra penny. I have over 80K on mine, still plenty of tread left. And didnt the Conti's have a tread separation problem not so long ago.....?

Yeah but I think it only concerned the new Expeditions that come with them on from the factory.

Just thought I would let you know that I chose the Michelins, and I couldn't be happier.

Your help was and is appreciated.
