The **** talking (Very rare) I do is for compitetion only. To motivate. Compitition is good. That's why we all strive to be the best.

The Mods I post, or questions, are attended to let everyone else no, and bring in some people that might already know, or have tried.

I don't know you and you don't know me. If you don't have any suggestions or input other than typing what you did then your wasting my time.

No more so called "****" talking for me and no more advice or suggestions from me either. Keep spending all the money you do and getting where you get. I'll show with proof that it can be done cheaper and better. That's all I have to say.

Awsome! And post dyno sheets when your done.

14 inch, 4 cylinder brembos on the front, they work big time.
Installing a raptor shift light in the morn, with the alum flywheel, I hit the rev limiter in about two secs at WOT, My tires will not last long.

The Mach came stock with Brembos...serious stopping power. I also have a FRPP aluminum flywheel and man, does it allow the motor to spool up quickly!! Big difference over the stock iron plate. My stock tires were lucky to make 10k. Just waaay to easy to roast 'em off.

I hear ya on the alum. flywheel, i hit the rev limiters so fast am installing a shift light in the A.M.
What size tires you running, My OEMs are 275/40 18s.
Most of the rouse and saleen guys over at FNsweet are running 265s front and 295 rear, seems odd to me.

I'm running 245/45-18's on the front and 275/35-18's on the rear. Really helped my oversteer issue during hard cornering. On the stock 245/45-17's, the tail wanted to come around some..swapped to the new tires and it's very neutral handling now...

Okay - Well I guess I'm different. It seems stupid for me not to take advantage of these sort of things.

Yes - I've seen trolls video. Super fast. I also saw where he said it would take 30K to reproduce. For me? I'll take advantage of what I can until I hit the lotto or something. If I went out spending that sort of cash on my X I'd be divorced in 6.12 sec. And I'm not trying to improve that time.

Spindle - I appreciate the advice but don't use this as an excuse when I take your tracs numbers out. J/K - I see what your saying. You have bigger and better fish to fry with the other ride. I'm just a squirrel trying to get a nut.
Jakee, don't be so serious, just do it, oh, and I have some bad news for you,
Your going to have to work harder than I did.
Your 01 OEM Crank H.P. is 205, my 03 is 210 :D :D :D :D :D

anybody else think a dyno war is a slightly overblown term when it comes to the sohc?

stop talking and start swapping

That's why some of us have opted for a 24 or 32 valve 4.6 :D

Why swap when for 2 grand and little work you can make more HP and TQ than the oem 5 liter

well, because i was assuming the term "war" might mean people were talking about making some real power. it isn't like the oem 5 litre has any significant output...

you'd swap because when you are trying to get some significant power out of the 5.0 you can actually do so (albeit, you'll likely end up with a 331 or 347)

My Prob is the 06 has a very steep rake (6.5 inchs) airdam to pavement.
Bet your tire combo looks great, but I would not be able to drive over a beer can.

Not according to the spec sheet I have in front of me right now.

And, I'm only serious when I know I'm right.

This is really not a dyno war. I just stated that my goal was to take down whoever had the highest numbers with a 4.0sohc. In this case, it's spindlecone. After that, I want to make the best times in the 1/4 totally N/A. After that, maybe I'll start thinking like the big dawgs and put a turbo in. No, I don't want to swap a V8 in because I feel that it would be pointless. We've all seen a fast x with a v8 and there's some pretty fast v6's out there too. I choice to stay with the v6.

Like I told spindle, I've had a 12 sec car before. I had to sell it cuss of some stupid crap. Now, i've just got back into the scene. I have a 01 sport and I'm going to tinker with it. When I decide to get into some serious racing, I'll get a mustang.

Okay, I'm starting a new thread called "Jakee's 4.0 SOHC Build up". I'll post everything there. Base line dyno first just to see where I am.
