I got a quote from Ford to replace all the motor mounts and transmission mounts for $560.00 on my 93x. I have replaced motor mounts on a BMW before in my garage and it was just a matter of un-bolting the mounts, jacking up the engine and replacing the mounts. I haven't done any reading in my Haines manual yet, but how difficult would it be to replace these mounts myself? or is $560.00 worth it?
As always, I appreciate all your help.
Thanks,
JB

I did mine for $80 from Napa for both and exactly how you jest described, takes about an hour, it's slightly more difficult on a TTB truck especially with a lift just because the lower bolt on the passenger side is hard to get at, use a wobbly.

Heck for $560 I'll fly to you and replace them!! Thats ridiculous....They are robbers

If you can replace anything on a BMW you should be able to handle the motor mounts on your X.

I agree 100%. You should have no problem if you just take your time.

$560?....................F'ing Billable Hours!

Thanks, unless there was something I didn't know about on Explorers, I couldn't figure out why I couldn't do it myself and am still baffeled why Ford wanted so much. And your right about the BMW, that's why I don't own it anymore, boy what a pain that was!
Preciate the help!
