just curious, will one or the other rub more? I plan on putting 31's on my stock 94 explorer, and chances are they will rub a little. but im just curious if the MT might rub more due to the tread design or not? if i do go MT, ill prolly go Kumho Venture MT's, and AT would prolly be BFG AT's.

If one will rub the other will too. It's still a 31" tire. You'll notice a different kind of rub though with m/t vs. a/t. The m/t will be louder and harder due to the tread design.

tires say 31x10.50 and whatever else -- but if you get a different brand or even a different style, you get different sizes. 33x12.50x15 Dirt Grips are 33.3" tall when a BFG M/T is 32.6" or something like that. Almost a whole inch of difference. If you are asking if like a BFG M/T will rub more than the BFG A/T -- then probably not, just a rougher rub. I would look into their websites and see if they tell you the O.D. (overal diameter). Good luck.

yeah, thats kinda what i was thinking froader, but then got to thinking just how they measure the 31" tire, from the tip of the tread, or base of the tread or what.

ill have to do a lil more research tho. thanks guys.
