My list of Explorer - "How to" videos

have you put on the copperhead fab shackles yet? I emailed them about punching the bolt holes out to 9/16" and if they can do that then ill most likely pick up a set. if they won't than I might man up and make a set of my own. I have the welder/drill press & bits, I just don't have the initiative to make them myself yet. I just would like to see a video install/ride and drive review on the copperheads before I make a decision.

I will definitely shoot a vid of the shackle install. Took me awhile to find the bushings but I should have them soon.

Im running out of video ideas. Let me know what you guys want to see!

Thinking about pulling the front diff or axle to do a differential cover change. Mines pretty rusty and it leaks. Cant have that.

Yep, great vids there, any chance of getting some front diff "how to" ones up, umm like axle & PINION seals (hint hint LOL). Are most X front diffs Dana 35's? I know there are different splines & such but doing seals would be basically the same wouldn't they?
Just asking as my 2000 sohc 4.0L has a slow pinion seal leak (not dripping as yet) & will need some work real soon before anything major happens.
Again great thread.

I will definitely be shooting a vid on front diff cover change and fluid fill. Might do axle seals as well, havnt made up my mind yet. They are cheap and I do have a slide hammer so it shouldnt be much more work.

Never done a pinion seal on the other hand so I might need to look into that one before I make a decision.

Thanks a ton for watching my vids. Good to know hard work is appreciated.

Forgot to add I believe all explorers have a dana35 front diff.

do you have a video on pulling out your gauge cluster and installing white faced replacments and reinstall?????

Thanks

not like my Ex, but still good info!!:)

As long as you do your research and have the right tools most jobs are pretty simple.

A couple years ago I was afraid to change my own oil.

I eagerly await "Spark plug and wire" vid!

Awesome work on the vids, man.

Added a 1996 5.8 liter F250 water pump change vid to the collection. I wont post it here but its in the youtube link below.

Shackle and power steering vids should be up soon.
