I just love my Explorer, but one drive in this thing re-fueled my lust for speed. Picked her up on Good Friday, and I've been loving it since. I decided to keep my Explorer since it's paid for. Now I've got the summer ride, and the every-other-time ride.

Ah! All our fellow X owners are turning to the rice they once hated! :p I hear they're pretty quick for an import though. Looks good!

I've never really hated rice. What I do hate is people who try to turn economy cars into sports cars and drive them as such. Out of the "Big 3" Japanese marques, I've always preferred Nissans. Nissan caters to Americans by giving them big hp and big torque. While they genenerally get cut on for having "chintzy" interiors, I beg to differ. This car has been such a joy to drive over the past week. Shifting is effortless, clutch uptake is predictable, and this baby GOES.

Very nice, that's the model I prefer and I'd get it in blue if I had the $$$.

My friend just got one, those things are bad ass! Nice choice. If you don't mind me asking, about how much was it?

I actually got a great deal on it. It's an '03, and was a pre-cert from Nissan. It stickered for just shy of $40,000 but I only paid $23,000, which is also about $2,000 below dealer trade in value....sooo, I couldn't really argue 'em down. NTM that it's loaded with the exception of the Nav. The Nav's nice eye candy, but room is tight in there and I kinda prefer to have the little cubby there instead of the screen.

Very nice! There's one at the mall and I drool over it whenever I walk by. Haven't driven one...I probably shouldnt lol

I had two Zs back in the day, a 240 and then a 260. Only cars I've ever had that I loved, and I've had some nice cars...

Enjoy it!

Yeah, DON'T drive it unless your willing to part with the cash. Because you'll like it too much. I didn't think I was going to like it at first, because the visibility is pretty poor out the back. But then they let me test drive it alone, and as soon as I got out to the highway, I forgot all about the visibility. And here we are.

very nice car!
I wish I could have a car that fast. my ex doesn't go above 80

Damn you are a huge jerk, I have 3 trucks and WANT a car again bad, but with a boat it makes it hard :)
thats a SWEET choice........I want a Golf IV GTI R32 VR6 AWD to start with, but since they are $32K I will wait.......

LOL....thanks for the props man. My Ex really doesn't go above 80 either! I had forgotten how much I enjoyed driving something fast, and well handling. I'm hangin' onto my truck too because, like you, I've got some water toys that need to be towed. So, it's the best of both worlds.

I've seen a few of those R32's---man, they look sweet. I don't know that much about Vdub's, but I like that they kept a sleeper like profile with the R32's---alot of people are going to be surprised.

I don't know what's wrong with yours...but mine will smoke the tires and point the speedometer straight down...about 110, stock, with 200,000+ miles on tired old motor.

I mean, I don't doubt it's capabilities to go 80+, but with 32's and some lift, I'm not comfortable going much more than 80.

I used to drive mine with 4" lift and 35s with no sway bars going "D" with no problems.

Sweet car though, I like those. My cousin has one and let me drive it. defenitely faster than my Audi.
Did you look at teh Infinity G35 at all, or just that since you could get such a sweet deal?

The g35 coupe was really my first choice, but this could be had at a 10K less price. I got no wife or kids, so who needs a back seat anyway.
