..You might have combined this question in your other thread on tires..
http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=215934

..I run them but I would never suggest them as a daily driver...Plus they are over $300 bucks a tire, compared to the tires I recomended in your other thread..;)

After looking at Donner's link I would like to point out that this issue of being over $300/tire only comes into play with sizes: 37x12.5R17 and 40x13.5R17. For other sizes the pricing appears to be less.

..yes, as with most item's, size does matter..;)

...That site is where a lot of people shop for their tires...I did notice that 31x10.50's were about $800 bucks shipped, plus add mounting and balancing...

...Mine are 35x12.50x15 and I guess that is the size where tirerack starts having to ship them by truck and the price goes up dramatically as you have to fill out a form and they will get back to you on cost...

..I would also see what they cost at your local Goodyear tire store...But again, as referenced in his other thread, these will not meet his needs...

Dont mean to hijack the thjread but how do they perform off-road? I wanted to get the Goodyear MTRs because they came in a 37 but I figured the BFG MT was a better performing tire.

I love my MTRs....

I use them for DD and off road. They are pretty quiet for a aggressive tread tire. I have never gotten stuck (mud, rocks, snow, etc.) so I would have to say they do pretty good off road.

...I like mine...But, the one thing I don't like is when you air down, it seems like the side wall is to stiff, and it feels like I need to air down about 2# more to get what I want...And for highway use they are pretty quiet...but they won't last long highway but most agressive tires won't...They may have a softer tread than the BFG m/t's...:dunno:
...I will know alot more about them by the end of summer...;)

...A lot of the guys on here have run them and went with the bfg m/t's and loved them, but moved up to like tsl's...:dunno:

..Btw, I am looking for 2 more MT/R's, 35x12.50x15, 90% or better if anyone has a couple...2 of mine are due to become spares...:D

I wanted some tsl boggers but since this is a DD that just wasnt a reasonable option but either way my next set will be 37s just got to figure out which tire.

...I am not sure of anyone running the 37 MT/R's on here, but you might check on pirate..I know the jeep guys run them a lot..I think the 37's are also for a 17" wheel and up, not sure, but I know the price soars over 35"...

I am running lt305/70r 16 wrangler mt/r, i honestly dont think that those tires are good for everyday use, the thread wears very ugly. if i had a chance to spend that much money on tires, i would honestly try something else, but then again thats just my opinion. ;)

these are already worn in tires, dont get me wrong just cuz i dont like the tread wear dosent mean they dont look nice, they are very tought lookin tires.

Yea BFG only makes a 37 in a 17in wheel and thats the only reason why there not on my truck. The MTR however is produced in a 37x12.50x15 and I wanted that tire but heard it wasnt as good as the BFG. I work at sears auto center so we can order any thing goodyear or BFG sells and tire shipping is free and so is mounting(if you buy the tires from them).

Yea thats another thing I've heard about them. I've had my BFG's for a little while now and they're wearing very evenly. I do like the tread pattern on the MTRs but I like the sidewall lugs on the BFGs better:D

..I might add that I have 10" wide wheels and no cupping yet...I do not daily drive mine though but i do put a lot of highway miles on them to and from the trails..:dunno:

..After 35's and when you move up to 37's or larger, most peoples rig's become "Trailer Queens"...:D

Yea I stopped putting money into the X and directed it into to savings for a new car that way I can do whatever to the X and not have to worry about DDing it. I rarely drive my truck on the highway since work, school, etc.. are only a couple miles away.
