Need Advice on What Brake Rotors to Get

I am going to be doing my rear brakes soon and I think I have decided on performance friction pads. But I'm not sure on what rotors to buy. I can't afford the ART's so they are out of the question. I'm not necessarily looking for high performance, I just want some that are long lasting and not as likely to warp.

What kind do you guys recommend?

i have the powerslots on mine, but they still may be of your price range. if i remember correctly they were around $85-90 a piece. if you want good stockers, get Napa. forget Autozones, maybe i had a bad experience or whatever but i had some warp on me after about 10k miles...

Well I was planning to go with rotors from NAPA but last time I checked they told me their rotors were $150 a piece.

naw, man. i called them before i ordered my rears and they quoted me $38 (i believe) a piece for the rear. either you were quoted wrong, or your Napa guy has some kind of sceme going on.if you would like, i will call and see, just so you will know if they are trying to rip you or not...

just got off the phone with Napa, $36.98 apiece for the rears. FYI, fronts are $51 (2wd).

Are you gonna do your parking brake at the same time?

I just did my rear calipers and pads last week, they were cheap! $27 ea caliper and $40 for the pads, all lifetime warranty, I got the carbon mettalic pads, big difference!!! Oh and I also painted my calipers red, kinda riceyu but it looks cool from behind the truck, how many lifted BII's do you see with rear discs??????????? two, mine and Brett's

410, What is involved in servicing the parking brake?

That brings me to another point. Should I go ahead and replace my calipers? My truck has almost 100K miles on it.

Calipers are cheap. Mine were shot, one was hanging up.

The parking brake is a little drum brake inside the rotor. It;s a real PITA to do but if you have the rotor's off dont even hesitate, get the parts and do it. New shoes and hardware kit required.

Power slots may be worth putting on the front, but the rears just stick with OEM

i could tell a big difference. this is mainly due to the fact the pad on the driver's side was worn down to the rivits, and was grinding into the caliper . got the powerslots mainly for looks, as they are coated with something that doesnt rust. used Performance Friction pads. proly not much different than a new stock setup, but looks better. they also are slotted, which makes people think you have expensive brakes.
