Ok so it's going to be time for me to get new tires pretty soon. And when that time comes I'm going to get some 33x12.50/15. I currently have 31x9.50/15 on my stock rims. But I was going to get a different set of black steel rims, probably from 4wheelparts.com, and don't exactly know what width I should get. BTW I have a TT/shackle lift and I'm putting a BL on before I get the tires.
I've been told to get 15x8 rims so that when I trail ride I won't bang them up so bad (my truck is my daily driver). And I've been told get 15x10 rims so that the tire doesn't bulge as much as will last longer on the road and the center tread won't wear unevenly. And one guy even said that I have to run a 15x12 rim if I get 12.50 tires. I throw the BS flag on that one. Advice here would be great.
Oh yeah and backspacing. I don't have a clue what backspacing I should go with for each size of rim. I want the tires to stick out but not way out. Just enough so that on the trails my tires will hit a tree first instead of my fender and so that it still looks good and not goofy on the road.
