Ok...so I bought this Explorer...i love it...it had a problem with the IAC, turns out when the motor was replaced from a 4.0SOHC it was replaced to a 4.0EFI and the IAC sensor is proprietary...that or I just had 2 bad replacements...(they actually spliced the wire from the EFI to put in the one for the SOHC - causing lots of trouble...and didn't even put in a gasket) OK - fixed that problem, then went through the wiring diagram for my truck, spent hours tracing wires because of an IAT mal-code...ended up trying to bypass all the splices to the PCM by a direct wire after the last splice...only to find out - the damn wire was pulled out of the connector...replaced that - works great...
the next task i need to tackle is proving really tricky...I'm showing a C1095 on my code reader...I know it's a Hydraulic pump circuit malfunction...but I'm not interested in tracing wiring diagrams and wires for another 3 hours - does anyone have any pointers that I can look into to possibly cut this project in half? I'm really looking forward to taking a 100% working truck to Florida next week, and am frustrated with doing things the hard way
