I have a 03 ST and it came with the 4 wire plug in but no hitch. I just installed the class III hidden hitch and need help with the electric brakes. My question is i cannot find a plug in spot for the electric brakes under the dash. So with this i am assuming that i will need to hard wire the brake in. What i am concerned about is the wire that activates the brake going to the controller. where is the best place to cut in to hook this up? Everything points to the wires connected to the brake pedal itself (makes sense) but which one of the wires am i supposed to cut into? Thanks

Welcome to the site! The wire you're asking about is the red stoplight wire in the diagram below? (Your instructions probably say to attach to a brake light wire?) So, just tap into the light green wire at the brake position switch @ the pedal. You don't want to cut it, use a 3M splice connector.
