Hey guys,
I just bought a '99 Mounty that looks like its loaded with every option. This is my first Ford product I have ever owned, and I really like it!

My passion is motorcycles, but I like to 'wheel and have a uncontrollable addiction to modifying things. I am hoping to tweak this thing soon and find the REAL 5.0 power hidden in there.

Sorry, no pics yet. She is REAL clean, though. Nice metallic red with gray leather interior, power everything (including moon roof), and what appears to be the top-grade stereo/cd/tape/6-disk changer with an 8" powered sub in the rear. I got it for $5k, with just over 100k miles on the clock.

As far as the transfer case goes, I was going to look into this. Are you referring to swapping the case for a shiftable one? It would be nice to have 2wd and a 4wd-low. My gas mileage seems to be pretty crappy, sitting about 14 driving to work and back (7 miles each way).

As it sits, she has a 5.0, auto (4-speed?), awd, and 3.73's with rear limited slip.

Anyone know the exact tranny model this thing has?
