well after just replacing the steering box and steering column and puttin in a brand new 80$ battery now my explorer will not start. All the connections are good from the batter to the solenoid and such and down at the starter.. the problem is the starter is not turning over. The starter is shooting sparks out the end facing the front of the truck?? any idea what is going on... i didn't need anymore problems with this thing.. :(

i guess no one knows about whats wrong?

Sparks are coming out of your starter???? When you turn the key or always?
When did this start happening? (directly after the new parts where put on, or a few miles later)

if sparks are coming out of the starter and all wiring checks out I got $$$ on a bad starter.

The Ford gear reduction starter (you have) actually has a solenoid in it in addition to the solenoid on the inner fender. I suggest you remove the starter and have it tested.

How did you confirm the stsrater wiring is good?
The starter gets its - signal through the engine block, so if the ground cable from battery to engine is bad, it wont work right, just FYI.

If all checks out and sparks are coming out of your starter, then your starter is toast.

Yup the starter was bad, i had it rebuilt for 75 bucks and now she's good to go!
