93 XLT 4door 4x4
I just bought a 93 ford explorer XLT 4x4 4 door automatic ( I know I wanted 5spd but ol lady cant drive one that good) I was needing to know if there was a cheap way to get some 33's under it? Ive looked around for lift kits and everything so I know what they are running. But I was wondering if there was another way we can lift it just enough to put some 33's atleast with some flex... Got any ideas hit me up on myspace at /tha_grizz or hit my yahoo up at maxinthedirt@yahoo.com thanks a million ppl

Flip the rear, and get some taller springs and an alignment up front. probably have to hack up the fenders a bit.....or a body lift.....

For 33s to fit without problems all you need is a 4" lift. You can either buy a complete lift or get a 3" body lift and do spacers/shackles.

The body lift and spacers/shackle will be the cheapest route and would work just fine. It would also give about a 4.5" lift.

did 3 inch body lift on my `93 with 33`s...had to trim to bottoms of the front fenders near the rockers(rusted anyways) that poor gal unded up at the boneyard. got a `94 limited now, and build my own body lift (4 incher) with 3'' billet aluminum spacers. no triming this time

k heres the deal i bought a 1994 explorer with a 140000 miles on it 4.0 auto runs like a top for $1200 4x4 i want 2 kno what u guys would do with it like what size of lift? im gna put a 3inch body lift on it for sure and i was gna drop th rear end down so its under the leaf springs is that a good idea? i wanna put a 4 inch lift in it

yeah if you do an "SOA" which is to swap the leaf springs over the axle you'll get about 5.5in of lift from the stock springs. include some age/sag and it would be close to 4in. you have a lot of options up front. but i would just get a hold of some 4in lift springs and drop brackets. this with your body lift would fit some 35/1250/ on 10in wide rims easy!

you got a great deal!.. take care of it..baby that trans if its original. that will probably be the first or only "big" mechanical thign to go......if ur lucky ; )
