I JUST BOUGHT A 93 CLEAN XLT 4X4, for a decent price, it had a lift of it, but was soon taken off, due to ****ty shocks, and bad welds, now i am tryint to decide what is the best bang for my buck, just a 3'' BL? and a 2 ' skyjacker coil?
with some 31-150 or 32-11.50 ? i dont wanna go retartedly high, but just decent to do some good mudding,

all help, comments are appricated thanks :us:

You'll probably wanna get 33's at least. I got 31's and right as I put them on knew I wanted bigger. Suspension lifts are the best as they lift everything, not just the body. I'd get a 5.5" Superlift or 6" Skyjacker and some 33's if I were you.

TT would be a good trick on a '93, bodylifts= pain in the ass, IMO
go with the superlift 5.5 or a 6" skyjacker like husky said, (and yes i have a 2" body lift on my truck but the only reason its on there is so I didnt need to cut my ac box totaly out of the truck to shoe-horn my 5.0 in)
or you can go the route I did, 2" lift springs, add-a-leafs, then 2.5" lift + AAL's and shackles, then 6" front springs, ditched the AAL's and did SoA to the rear, should have just did the 6 inch off the start :banghead:

i used the search button and found that the 5'' -6' lift are good, but i would have to modifie my truck alot, which i dont really want too, i just want to sit a lil high because i am 6 '8'' with some 31's or 32's and just do some mild mudding on the weekends, with my gas at about 15 mpg,

does anyone have any tips or tricks about saving gas outta the 4.0 v6 ?

sorry about the cartfax post, i read the rules over

aldive did a thing on his 2nd gen SOHC V6 quest for 30 mpg. He did things like exhaust, throttle body, MAFS, etc to get better mileage. Just do some searchs and you'll find all you will probably need to know on what helps the most. Good luck

Well if you already get 15 mpg or more, then be happy cause you're already ahead of the normal mpg, which about 13-14 for a first gen. As for the lift, you have coil springs, not torsion bars, for the front suspension, so you can't do a TT. The cheapest way to go would be coil spacers, AAL's or shackles, and a 3" body lift. The 5-6" suspension lift would be a better option for wheeling purposes, but you said you only wanted to do light weekend wheeling. With the 2" suspension lift, and 3" body lift, you can fit 33's with little or no rubbing. You may want to get some new wheels (15x8's) to go w/ the 33's also.

hey thanks for the feedback ,i noticed theses threads dont move very fast.

Trail Master 4" lift with 33s, and the tires fit fine before the front fiberglass fenders were put on as well.
