Newbie in need of help!!!!

Hello and salutations from Southern Louisiana!! I have a 2014 Explorer Sport that is smoking like nobodies business. We brought it to the stealership and was told that it jumped time, jacked up two cylinders and blew a turbo. Now im not the smartest guy out there but the thing fires right up and sounds great so im not so sure about the other stuff but the turbo issue is not debatable. So Ford tells me that its going to be 11k minus labor for a new engine and me being be brings the beast to my mechanic who listens to it and does some other checks and come to find out I was about to get railed for unnecessary repairs....Imagine that. My question is what turbo did Ford use in the Explorer and is one for an F150 of the same year compatible? Thanks for reading!!
