Would SOA get me as much lift in the back? or too much?

SOA is 5-5.5", but it's cheap and fairly easy. The parts are under $100 I believe and then you pay someone for about an hour to weld everything solid.

With 33x12.5 Pirelli Scorpion AT's, what width rim would you use? I like the sort of wide "beefy" look to my tires, as long as it's not comprimising the walls. I read that they are rated at 10" width rims and a range of 8.5-11.5" but almost everyone on this site goes with 15x8's.

Would my stock 15's work? or would they be too thin?

I wouldn't use stockers. 15x8 with 3.75" backspacing.

I would imagine that with the spindle lift and TT and fenders you can damn near run 35s, may wanna check that out. I am sure it would require some trimming but it sure would look cool.

5" + fenders it is doable, and you could always do another inch of TT and maybe aal or shackles.

I'm just looking to barely clear and stear them 33"s hehe. And the less lift (not necessarilly $ wise, just lift wise) the better.

But thanks, answered my question about the wheels...what is backspacing though. I can find where it says it but what does it mean? Is it the space between your rotor and inner wheel wall?

Mounting surface to inner bead.

If you want less lift then go with 3" TT in front, double aal and shackles in rear, and fenders all around. However, this may end up more expensive.

Well, I got my tires and wheels sitting in my basement waiting to be put on my truck. Before I go and do a 2" TT with 3" lift spindles in front with SOA int he rear. I have a few questions. I also decided to get some glass fenders from Perry's, I'm not sure how big a diff' they will make but you guys have a better idea than me.

I also just put in a 263lb sound system in my rear cargo area which adds a tad bit of noticeable weight to my rear-end. Very minute, but still noticeable.

1: Is there any way I can get my front end up without a body lift and TT. Would rather just do a TT to level it off than as actual lift.

2: If at some point I want to add shocks and convert over to 4x4 from 2wd, what would you do to "prep" my car for the shocks. Looking into getting a $300 dollar kit for Rancho RS9's later on.

Would the 3" spindles and then 4.5" of leaf/shackle work in the rear work with the shocks? Also, because of the added weight should I do SOA instead becasue I heard doing leafs it can sag later on?

Also, I had originally calculated my lift based upon my stock fenders. Alec with Perry's fenders and your 3" TT and 4.5" leaf springs in the rear...how much stress was going to your joint from the TT? Also, would you reccomend the same setup if I planned on doing VERY mild trails... (my friend is begging me to do trails with him since I told him I would be lifting it). If I do, it would be more of just small camping trails cuz I'm really doing this to avoid my grocery getter look... I may leave my tires in the basement a little longer than planned to save for something a little more durable...unless the TT will work great with shocks later on.

Oh ya, I also just put in a 263lb sound system in my rear cargo area which adds a tad bit of noticeable weight to my rear-end. Very minute, but still noticeable.

BTW, thanks so much for putting up with my stupid questions.

Oh ya, if I got the shocks...are they able to be set to actually lift my vehicle or does it already have to be lifted?

Shocks alone won't lift your vehicle unless:
1) coilovers (springs incorporated into the shock
2) air lift shocks that can moderately compensate for load.

Reading the first half of the last post you should do the spindles in front and double aal and shackles in the rear with the fenders all around. However, you cannot convert to 4x4 using the spindles since they are only for a 2wd application. Though if you're gonna go SAS later you can use the spindles for now and sell them later.

Would the shocks with coilovers hold up just as well, ride as stable if I used them to get my lift instead of spindles, aal/shackles? If so, what size should I get to just barely fit the 33"s with glass fenders? When I goto a site to order them they have a field where you select your lift ex: 1" - 1.5" - 2" - so on all the way to 4". What does the 4" of lift stand for? Is it how much lift you already have, or how much lift they give you? Would the 4" Rancho RS9000X Shocks need coilovers, do they have gas pressure?

Here is the site that I was looking at, I know you can get them cheaper but this is just to show ya what I'm talking about with the sizes. http://everythingoffroad.com/itemran.rs99xxx.html

How easy would shocks/coilovers be to install myself in comparison to other forms of lift and suspension?

You cannot just stick coilovers on, it is a custom project. There is the RCD coilover kit, which is pricey. I didn't mean to imply that they could just bolt on, I was just answering your question if shocks alone can provide lift.

I was thinking if i do a SOA swap, how much lift would that give me in the back? What would i have to do to get the same amount of lift in the front as in the back?

If you go SOA in the rear, you will need to purchase the superlift 4". In addition to that you will also need to do a 1 1/2" TT, because the SOA will geve you close to 5 1/2" of lift in rear.
