Next Pine Barrens Run?

That may be true... but we're obviously allowed to be on trails at site-x too. the tickets they got were for "going off trail".

So say you're in Wharton and doing the same thing; find a nice area and mess around in some of the mud holes- is that considered "off trail" and you can be ticketed for it?

The "trails" with road names down in wharton are just dirt roads that any 2wd honda civic can drive down... not much "wheeling" fun if you ask me. There are the side trails (no road names) that have some little mud holes, and the trails open up in some areas to bigger mud holes (like the one i went through to get the video)... but i'm almost certain that's considered "off trail"...

lol i dont know... just another reason to hate NJ i guess

We have to place a lot of phone calls before pulling the trigger on any run. I'd send you the picture I took of my ticket before mailing it, but you can't read a damn thing on it anyway.

Guys seriously... we HAVE to make this a mission:
http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=188742

Our goal is to find the owner and have him/her come wheeling with us on our next trip. I just looked at EVERY 1998 Explorer and Explorer Sport on Cardomain and didn't see it... not sure where else to look- I'm gonna put a post in at FordTruckWorld to tell them to keep their eyes peeled. Don't let me down :salute:

Man, I don't know. If it was sold to someone who isn't computer savvy, you may never be able to find it outside of a chance encounter. It could be painted a different color, sold again to God-knows-where, etc.

Sk1er do you have any old paperwork on your X? You can probly spend the $20 (that lasts a month) and run the VIN# through Carfax. It won't give you all the details but it will at least tell you what town it's currently in as well as it's current condition. Running or (perish the thought):(.

My dad ran the one for his old '87 Dodge Dakota last year and found it registered to some guy in Sussex with over 175,000 miles on the odometer! Which in hind sight for him means he still could have been running it today.

lol thanks for the 'pick me up' .... cough jerk cough :p:

Sorry man, I'm a major pessimist, but Andy might be onto something!

Who is the closest to a ranger station in that area? Maybe we could get someone to go down there and ask some questions in person, do some scouting, maybe even get a written document saying we are and aren't allowed?
As for the carfax idea, I say go for it. I haven't seen anything like that running around my area, though I did see a black lifted sport, not as tall as yours, but a little taller than mine running around on 32's I believe.

Dan

Dan

How's Saturday, March 8th sound for everyone?

Sounds OK at the moment. I'll most likely be there unless something comes up. :D:thumbsup:

The 8th sounds good for me. Hopefully I'll have my 33s on by then!

Does anyone know of a CHEAP place to get tires mounted/balanced?

I'm not sure where we decided to go yet. I think we should do some research, ask a few rangers, maybe get written permission, and see whats out there.
As for tires, try to find a small shop, they usually charge the least for mounting tires from what I have found.
