No Audio with replaced DVD system

wiring on DVD screen hinge went bad after years of opening and closing. I bought a used replacement model off ebay. Same exact model and color,etc. Hooked it up, DVD plays good but now there is no sound coming from DVD player to speakers or wireless headphones. Is there something that need to be reset to sync the new dvd unit to factory radio?

I think I read somewhere that there was a wiring change. Check the main plug between the old unit and the replacement unit to make sure the pinouts are the same.
