oem stereo ?

Hello All I just have a quick question I have an 04 explorer and wanted to upgrade my stereo system. When I removed the stereo I noticed there was a line out adaptor spliced into the wire harness with a set of rca jacks. Is this for the stock subwoofer or something somebody modified I bought the truck used so don't have any info on that.thanx for any help in advance:exporange

Its aftermarket. Stock sub didn't use RCA cables.

thanx for the reply A1c snowman..I was also curious about the plugs on the harness I bought the harness adaptor for the stereo but it only has one plug and the oem stereo has two any ideas where I can get the correct one?

pmj how many wires does the second harness have? Colors?

I can't help you but if your looking to sell the stock deck let me know, today my changer decided to break inside. Its the one that is the factory in dash 6 disk. thanks

so for the long reply misconceived but I fiquered out that I dont need to use the second wire harness for the aftermarket stereo,But thax for the reply.

norcalexplode the stock stereo I have is the single disc so sorry I couldnt be any help:exp:
