Hi all, I'm going to be ready to put 35's on my Xplor pretty soon and I'm looking for suggestions for a nice 15 inch rim... I was looking into the Mickey Thompsons, are these good?
ps : the X is black so i want chrome rims
Feedback appreciated

The classic 2's from MT are a good choice. They are aluminium so they are lighter than steel. I always liked the look of MT Classic 2's on an explorer. They just seem to fit on there. I had something similiar to the classic 2's called(Name is slipping my mind now.) and they were great! Only problem I had was I had a backspaceing I did not like at all.

If you're planning on offroading the truck, I'd suggest going with a set of steel rims over the aluminum ones. If you bend a steel rim, you can bend it back into place. If you damage an aluminum rim, it's very likely that the rim will crack or chunk, and it won't be repairable.

Aluminium can be hard to keep clean also, from what I experienced. Especially if you go off road often and don't wash them after or whatever.

yes, that is a nice off road rim. I would have got that, I'm just cheap and got the black ones

Damnit Matt, you copied me again, now you got the same rims as me. Haha, the black version of that rim runs $42 I think. Not expensive at all.

black is $42 and chrome is like $60 at 4wheelparts.com
i just ordered a set of black for my sport X
well thats a 15x8 rim

its $60 for 15x8 with 4.5" backspacing- but you dont want those with the set-up you're doing.

You want 15x10 with 3.75" backspacing,,, they're $89 each. Black ones like mine were $53 each i think.

and damnit tex, i wanted those rims long before you ever got them- i just needed a "reason" to change.. and that reason presented itself when i upgraded to 35" tires :p

Hehe, well I was still the first person on EF to get them so :p
