Awesome rig Mike:D

Thnx for the compliments, come on Gilmer....

Just dont forget that I need you this Sunday for one hour to help me weld my perches. :)

OK I'll be there, what time?

That is all up to you my friend... I will most likely be out in the back working anyways. I will PM you my address and numbers again to keep from HiJacking this thread anymore :D

the truck looks awsome. can you do us all a favor and post more picks of the front coil setup iv never see this type before. hows it ride. hows the coil stay on, is there a strap or what? thanks

that was wht i was gonna ask u too. my front coil has a thing that i bolt to hold th bottom but nothing at top

Nice rig!! that is a beaut!

ok here is the lower coil spring pad, it has tubing on it so that when the spring is fully decompressed it can travel up the pipe and additional six inches without falling out of place. I made the pad myself. Also there is a piece of chain that connects from the rear of the pad to the frame to prevent me from over extending. As far as the top of the coil is concerned, the top has two L brackets (one front one rear) to help keep the coil from dropping out of the top bucket where it seats.

Bracket

ok if you look closely you can see the chains on the inside of the bracket.

Ok now right here if you look closely you can see the spring is almost up to the top of the pipe on the left hand pad assembly.

Oh and as far as ride, the tires are not balanced and niether are the driveshafts. However I was driving the other day at 55 mph and it drives pretty good, as far as handling goes, it handles 100% better than with the ttb, it feels a lot stiffer and even without swaybars seems to not be to bad. I had too much bumpsteer with my lift and the ttb ( I believe it was due to the angle on my steering), now I have practically none. It drives strait and steady.:D

so, i can try to setup a chain or strap from overextending? the bottom is bolted on, so i am not that concern.. it is the top that i am worry about.
chain sounds good. or a bracket? hhmm.. ???

ok this lift kit needs to be in a magazine.

I'll tell ya what this lift has to be the cheapest ever made, cause the lift brackets only cost me about $20 worth of steel and about an hour making all the brackets and crossmembers. Most of my time was spent installing it and getting everything lined up perfect.:D

Oh and swak to be hones I don't think you'll have a problem with your springs coming off due to the way jeeps have there bump stops set up. It helps keep the springs aligned and with the spring connected to the front axle I doubt if it will over extend. But if you must, I have some extra chain you could have to make sure you don't over extend. My problem with mine is it keeps going and going and going so I had to put chains in fear of breaking the shock by overextending then its possible my spring may fall out.

msupertek, the bumpstop is no longer there. i saw it off. i know i shouldnt have but i cojuld not get the new springs on.. so i just saw off the bump stop.

Ok well we need to get together Swak and fix the bump stops properly so you don't have any problems. Don't worry I got lots of steel lol...:D
