Thanks to Rick H. we now have OME rear springs on our 1992. Our old springs were old (over 200k miles) with an add-a-leaf and WAR153 shackles. We now use the OME springs with the WAR153 shackles and the rear of the truck looks like it is sitting level (it was level before but always looked lower becuase of the design of the front bumper)..
We were hoping for some more flex with these springs and I'd have to say we got it. The down travel is limited by the shocks in the rear but the up travel is perfect. The up travel stops right before the tire hits the top of the inner fender well (1/2" clearance). When we put on the springs there seemed to be close to 2" of flex more than the shocks would allow (we had to lift the axle to get the shocks to reach). The front of the vehicle is lifted with a James Duff 2.5" kit.
Here are a few pictures of the truck flexed up.
You can see the OME springs starting to seperate. They will seperate more if I pull the shock off but I didn't want to drive it like that and I sure didn't want to pull it off in the mud
I have more pictures of the flex at http://mark.legendz.com/explorer/jumps/ (jumps is just what people call the place)
