Ill prob come down thurs and set up camp and go fishing first thing on Fri morning.might go to the new pier.some one just caught a 43" red drum off from it
so atleast this time ill have real tow points front and rear. no more bending front bumpers and using the hole from the tire winch to hook a shackle on lol. that was highly unsafe

You shouldn't need tow points with 4x4 and there won't be many ruts either... It should be pretty quiet down there can't wait I'm fabricating a off road trailer though it won't be done by the trip

Well, I am offically out. Wife and daughter's birthday celabration will be that weekend. Perhaps next time. I know I will do a week in July 2012. You'll have a ball, tack some pics and video. Let us know about night total beach access in Nags Head permits.

sorry to hear you will not be attending you will be missed
FYI----The nags head beach driving permits start in January and anyone driving on the beach must have a "permit" basically the lady from the nps told me its a 8 min video and the class is 30 mins at best and you at the end receive a one year beach driving permit....should be free though you may need to schedule a time to take "class"
they are starting this to keep idiots off the beach and help morons learn to keep off the dunes, proper tire inflation, vehicle selection(4x4 ONLY), etc...(this way no-one can play dumb and act like they didn't know the rules of driving on the beach)
all in all i foresee these permits being a good thing since they're a joke to get and if anything it'll lead to a more responsible crowd and maybe with time some more area for those responsible drivers to drive on....
night permits are free and only available in the off season just go to TW's tacke or most any tackle shop there has them just fill it out and bam you have one....
