Transfer case is officially gone! See you all next time. F***!

Yep it was acting up when we were just driving. Remember I told you I had a strange sound going on. Well the chain in the t-case is all over the place. Got a trans and transfer case combo for $300. has $30,000 miles on it. I should be good within the next 2 weeks.

Trip was good needed a better turnout but sh happens... Other than almost drowning my truck a few times and "engine failsafe mode" shutting it down/etc it was good

One wave from driving through came half way up the windshield....
Another i quickly backed out of, when the front end dropped was visible to front of hood.. we turned around LOL

Afterthought... Jd your leading next time lol

Maybe we need to see when works for everyone and plan it for next year lol

we can put Fred out front
^ :)

i think the biggest one should be first, that way the rest can see how bad it is. :)

as far as turnout, they prob wouldnt camp, but if we can for sure set a day for _____ beach at Xpm-Xpm during our camping trip, i think i could get VS and CPA involved and just hang at the beach.
now if we camped up at shoe creek i could get 5-7 trucks to stay with us more then likely. maybe theyd be down to drive to fishfoods and camp since hes got trails.

So I'm definitely routing the intake into the upper back of fender ASAP.. a good project for this weekend
plus next time I'll be a little taller

I'm sorry, What? You are going to have to give us more information, pics, others accounts, ect.

sorry was on the mobile...

as far as the code it was most definately the pcm detecting water in intake and as for that crappy paper filter it was dripping wet, i took off intake tube shook water out not much at all in tb but i know i blew a cloud of white smoke/steam. i let it all dry for a half hour or so along with unhooking battery and some help from jd's fan it all worked fine when reattached. when hood was popped it steady dripped water for 15 mins and it had been a few since a crossing... the first one jd thought for sure i was done for and he even hooked some seaweed on his hitch carrier to give you some idea of angles and depth

we should have taken more pics but i was more concerned with my trucks health.... it was to the top of xeek's bumper in that first hole.....almost covered jd's 36's... yeah way too deep im sure the two of them will chime in soon with thier accounts....

the one i backed out of i was apparently straddling the rut(through murky water not see through) when the front slid into the RUT and in a instant the water line of the puddle(was going slow to try and keep it dryer) was just on the front of the hood with the truck at a steep angle forward...
backed out faster than speedy Gonzales lol

the wave that came up the windshield was the last one we accidently hit. we didnt think anything of the single yellow cone,,, and in my defense it looked like nothing until the front end DROPPED in and by then it was too late to back out...quickly pulling out of it sent a wave up over hood and half way up the windshield/off around my rearviews...

after it all my buddy that parked his jeep on the beach said"man i have to say im impressed with that thing i thought there was no way we were making it through that stuff"(love hearing that) stacey said almost same thing to me on the last trip:D:D:D

EDIT- i really dont like water fording and had not intended on much if any (not half this) but was loads of fun..

yea, going down into the puddles is the problem. once youre in they werent that bad.
i need to relocate my fan controller, i keep blowing fuses, i blew 3 just on that trail thing lol

jd, post the vid of me going through the first puddle when we went in!

hopefully by the next trip and every one after it ill have a gopro mounted to the outside of the truck and a digi cam with video on a tripod inside the truck

Sounds like you might need to add a snorkel to that planned mod list in your sig ;)

no itll go straight to the mods list lol
ive already planned it out i will seal old hole in box and while its out relocate the washer fluid lines and drill that hole slightly more then mount pvc in the inner fender basically just like dominican but itll end in the fender(box should still come out as before if it all goes to plan).... its too new to be chopping up without a kit somewhat done but this way itll be pretty well protected from big splashes etc... dont want to do any fording lol

will post pics possibly a writeup if interested like i said this should be done this weekend if this god damn trans holds out its got a wierd/not-good shudder around 30...............
lucky enough my 12k warranty on a $2,300 rebuild has 5k left....
i think this trans is junk personally with all the issues... may find another to build and swap
