1. take off front and read bumper.
2. disconnet steering rod and radiator (top part only?).
3. lossen the bolts for the BL.
4. lift one side and xchange
5. same on the other side.
6. reinstall steering with extension and also radiator.
7. bumper put back in.

sounds easy but i know it is not. did i miss out antyhing..especially disconnecting the steering and the radiator. anything else i need to disconenct before i lift up the side.

When I did my 3"BL my brake line was very taunt, You should watch out for it getting to tight. you will have to extend the line if it does get to tight. Also watch for too much pull on you gas tank hose were you fill up your tank, that gets a little snug too. ONE MAJOR THING, once your all done, get under the front of the truck and and check to make sure that your A/C hose is not sitting on your engine belt at the bottom of the engine. If you start the truck and you havent moved the A/C line then the belt will eat right thru it and then you'll have to replace that. You realy dont want to do that. Other then that, take your time and just make sure no lines (electrical or hose's) gets pulled on too much. Good Luck, Its just take time. Have Fun!!!!

am thiniking of doing it tonite. after work...starting at 8pm/ we will see how tired i get. woohoo. too excited.

ok.... i will try...after i figure it out. lol. that might take a couple of years.

I am installing a 3" body lift on my solid axle equipeddaily driver this weekend (saturday). I have done many of these lifts on both the newer and older model explorers. I am in Plano if you have any questions.

Here is my cell # 214-597-5385

I wanna see lots of pic, before, during and after!!!

well, 1st report is... started at 830pm. took off front manik brushguard and bumper. not too bad. the bracket that held up the brishguard was kinda inthe way but managed to work around it.
was going to remove the rear bumper but realize my biggest socket is 13/16 and was not big enough. go figure. and anyone with a hidden reese trailer, good luck. i looked and looked and decided to leave the bumper there for now cause i have access to the rear location of the block for the BL.
so, tomorrow, take out the radiator nut and steering rod and up goes the body, i hope. that is if the sun stays up long enough. have to do it bit by bit cause i have a 65 mitsubishi coming in saturday afternoon, so i will probably be busy watching tv satuday. and i work weekends too. aarrgghh.... whatever happen to 48 hour days? lol. to be continued...............
p/s i got pics but will wait till i finish, ok?

No no.. thats here in Ohio. Ohio apparantly has the highest number of west nile viruses in the US. I found this out once i moved here. There are public anti misquito ad campaigns
