It seems like keeping my Explorer looking good is an ever evolving process. Since I have touched up everything else I decided to tackle the mirrors. I figured it would be more durable if I used some truck bed coating on them. Also I don't have to worry about runs or getting the mirror completely smooth
Here is my poor truck. Dirty, missing the mirrors, and waiting to be reunited with the new wrinkle black grill that is in the mail.
Here is some of the stuff I used.
You can see how terrible of shape they were in.
Sanded and masked off.
After the first coat.
And the final product! I think they came out really well.
