Pan Bolt Size 5R55E PLS!

HELP!

I changed the filter and found a bolt missing...checked the crush and run driveway/frame/old fluid to no avail. Tightend the 17 out of 18 filled er up and ran for 30 minutes no leak (crossed fingers).
I've been reading about transmissions all morning UGH!

Question: should I've tightend the VB bolts while the pan was off as it seems this is a problem for this trany? Note I have no shifting probs...the old fluid looked like crap though.

Welcome to this forum! The pan bolts are M8 X 14. It's a good idea to check the torque of the valve body bolts while the pan is off. You could do it the next time you have the pan off.

Thank's I found a website that had a kit listing them as 8x25 ???? not even sure if it was the right tranny..
I'm off to the store to pick up the M8x14...
I've learened alot this morning from this website forum and I appreciate the feedback.

I doubt I will be of much use to other members but if you ever have a problem with a Motorola radio feel free to give a shout.

If you don't mind how did you obtain the size? I spent two hours online this morning I learned alot about transmissions but failed to obtain the necessary info... U never know I'm a do it ur self personality
