hi all i am sure this has been covered but cant find it. so can i take the pcm from one ex (both pcms have the same numbers)and put it into another or dose it need reprogramming by ford or will it just reset to the new ex. cheers chris

Assuming you are talking third gen, anyway. you can get a used pcm, but it must match your oem boxes' code. Then, someone has to flash it with your VIN, transmission, engine, blah blah blah. (there are third parties that can do that). Then, someone else has to load PATS data into it, onsite. Many locksmiths can now do this, and WAY cheaper than the dealership.
