Ah, a fellow mountain biker. Nice!

yes sir! this is an old pic, i recently went 1 x 10 conversion on the chain ring. ill have to post a pic later. it took a little getting used to, but now i love it. so simple, less things to think about when riding and maintenance, and the weight loss has been nice.

I'm still on a three ring setup...haha. The simplicity of a one ring setup sounds nice.

Anyway, don't want to steer this thread too off-topic. :p

This is the reason I bought my 2003 explorer Eddie Bauer. It's got the 4.6 and tow package. Currently at 177k miles.

17 ft bass tracker pulls like it's not even there.

This was moving my mom 330 miles from Alabama to Kentucky. Recorded 8 miles per gallon loaded and 9 miles per gallon unloaded.

Completely filled 5x8x5.5 trailer, with additional cargo in the rear and roof, I used to move from northwest MT to Houston, TX. Zero issues on the 2k+ mile trip spread over 3 days. My MPG sat around 12-13 for the whole trip, and temps never left the safe range. Not too bad for a 18 year old Explorer with 201k miles (204k now).

We tow a 2016 Passport 195. 19.5' long and ~3700 lbs.
WDH and plenty of power.
As soon as I find out how to attach a image I'll show it off.

I hope to never use a tow dolly again. ST performed fine.

I think I fixed it.

Mountaineer Green, what is the weight and length on that trailer? How does she tow and did you mod the Mounty for towing with helper springs transmission cooler or brake control modulator?

This trailer is a fraction of what she used to tow. This trailer as pictured is not much more than 1,600 pounds, but fully loaded it will be around 2,000 lbs. The trailer was recently bought to haul (and store) mow equipment. The "hazard" has towed around 5,000 lbs on several occasions when it was the family's tow vehicle. (I currently don't have pictures but I will look for them)

Newer pic of Eddie towing our camper. The previous pics were while towing the camper back from the dealer. Now its equipped with an anti-sway connection, and booster shocks.

Took this pic after hooking up and loading before heading out for Tombstone AZ.
