I need one so I can test out different ways of adjusting it to get rid of 341 code. I can not find it after hours of looking, I have a 92' Explorer xl 4.0. Thanks.

It "near" the eec-iv port, on the passenger side of the vehicle between the blower motor and the air box.

The thread above shows what the plug looks like without the octane block in it..

Look closely in that area as its common for the eec-iv and octane block connector to fall under stuff so you can't see it.

That was a big load off my shoulders. Now how do I uninstall it?
Would my check engine light come on for any other reason if 341 was only code?

or install? I don't know, whatever is the opposite of what it is right now. Mine looks just like the picture in the other thread. It's not connected to anything, just hangin out with nothing to connect to, or so it looks.

You need to go to a junkyard and pick up one of the shorting blocks.

IIRC, it is just that.. A piece of wire that shorts out the 2 connections to each other inside some plastic that fits right in that connector. It actually doesn't connect to anything.

Check the glove box. That is where I Put mine when I had it pulled. Maybe you will get really lucky and find it there??

That is exactly what I did earlier today before I read your post. Now I am hoping I return to getting 15+mpg and don't have to look at the CEL. Thanks for the help guys, I normally take care of things but this one was 3 years in the making. When I went to the junkyard I told the guy what I needed and he was baffled, I had to show him where it went on my car, cost me 5 bucks. I feel like a new man, LOL.

I don't think this would have been possible without the internet or a handfull of cash for the repair shop. Glad I saved the $98 dollar diagnosis fee, or at least I think I did.
