Pismo Dunes, CA Oct. 25-26 Meet

haha my mountaineer is okay going up comp hill.. but its pretty good for a 2wd up it... the only tricky part iswhen you finally get up there and decide to turn around, one wrong turn and you can get stuck or flip over and tumble down.... but yeh, i usually air down around the tens and sometimes eight... the flatter the better, I used to go to 3 in my girlfriends tacoma, she had BFG's and those things have a great bead..

Hey - get Crankcase or some other Washington or BC Canada people to go and I'm so in for it. My truck wouldn't survive the 1100 mile trip, nor the sand. But I'd love to go if I could ride w/ somebody! We had it all figured out in the chat to meet with Section in Chico if we can get any of us northerners to go! Who knows!

THe other day, i went to pismo, and i asked the booth person and they said if we arrive early on saturday, that we wouldn't have to worry about reserving a campsite...

it is 6 dollars if u plan on keeping your truck out there past 11pm (camping) or its only 4 dollars for a day pass....

Hey dude what about on friday? Same story, no reserve? It is looking like I will be rolling down friday midday, leaving the bay between 1200-1300. Also it looks like my group count is going to be around 4-5. Got a s-10 zr2 rolling down, I am dying to see how well the auto locker works in the sand on that thing.

yeh, theres no real need to reserve because it only gets really busy on holidays, and the lady said that it's been dead this time around... if u roll down on friday, gimme a call man, I'll roll with you guys out to the dunes!

Everyone bring your cameras... and watch me charge comp hill in my 2WD X Sport with 31'' BFG AT's...Haha. That's gunna be something to see, laugh and hear (the roar of that 4.0). I can't wait to meet the guys (and girls) and have a goodtime!

Have we decided on a CB Channel? or is that something to worry about when we get out there?

haha first of all.. comp hill isnt that hard.. u just need to kno how to drive up it.. To really test ur car, is when you race people up it!!!! i' used to race up it all the time, i'd get there just as quick... nOte.. my mounty is only 2wd with posi...

and the CB channel thing,, well i dont have a cb radio, i'm just going to bring my motorola talk-about.

so what days is everyone officially camping over and such. im thinking of going up after work on friday around 6 or earlier, or just going up in the morning on saturday. how many people are camping overnight on friday?

I will be camping on friday night, there will be a total of 4 or 5 people that roll down with me. So roll up on friday and hang out. Clarkkent might camp on friday too, that is if he can get his kitchen pass from his women. lol

Mike I'd like to roll with you guys if your cool with that. I am going to try to get the supercharger installed and up to snuff before the trip. Fingers are crossed. If a screw it up it'll be time for plan "B". A 20" lift and big fat meats for my wifes Honda Del Sol. LOL
