pitman arm

After trying to hit the pitman arm off with a hammer and no success i went out and bought a pitman arm puller. when doing the front for the 4" super lift should i put the puller on the top or bottom first to get the arm off. i have the drive shaft off, brake lines disconected, coil springs bolts off, sway bar completly removed for more room. just haveing trouble with the arm, thanks.

You'll probably want to use a fork puller for the bottom first, then the pitman puller for the top after. I pulled the top first, then used the pitman puller for the bottom also and bent the bolt from the ball joint in the bottom and had to buy a whole new drag link. Lessons learned.
