Please Help!

To complete a project I'm working on, I need at least a grade 6 bolt thats about 14" long and 1" in diameter - does anyone have any clue where i should look?

Go to McMaster Carr and on their main page punch in part # 91251A936. That is a 1" Socket head cap screw, 8 threads per inch, 14" long that exceeds a Grade 8 rating. We use McMaster Carr all the time where I work. A very professional and reputable supply company.

Truck or tractor dealer

I doubt Home Depot has one that long- and if they do it wont be a grade 5 or 6,at least our local store doesnt carry one that large.

A heavy truck dealer or a tractor dealer in your town may have one. I can always find extra large hardware at the tractor dealer.
McMaster Carr is awsome- if you like hardware and mechanical stuff looking through the catalog is a good time. Good place to get a latch for a tire carrier.
