I'm currently looking to replace the bushings on my 1998 xlt (AWD, V-8). NOBODY has my parts correct. I spent 3 hrs yesterday and about 2.5 today to find the correct front set. I have the 34mm sway bar in the front.
Now the problem. I can't find a correct set for the rear sway bar. I took out the micrometer and ruler and got the following
sway bar diameter = 19.765mm (or 49/64" = .765")...checked it thrice
bushing height = approx 1 5/8"
Everybody and his brother carries the .615" set, but nothing for my application. I have emails out to EVERY site I could find, but, this being a weekend, have yet to receive a reply.
Has ANYONE upgraded to the ploy for a similar size sway bar or similar explorer? If so, WHERE/WHAT/WHO, etc. I'm going out of my f@%king mind!!!
