Possible Big Bear rain, wind, landslides, ponds and rocks run with random pictures?

...heck, i wouldn't even try west jb in the X if the weather was like the last time...i like what we did last time if i bring my ranger...i would like to make it to the top of that one run we backed down on if you haven't found out what's on top yet...
...if i do make it up for this run i'm not sure if i will be able to afford to stay overnight so i will be heading home about 1 1/2hrs before dusk...

have you guys ever been on either white or gold mtn?...:D
I've done Gold Mountain several times. Not bad in normal weather and maybe OK with a small amount of snow. Probably easier than east JB. A few nice drop offs near what are probably runoff areas though, so with more than an inch or two of snow I'm not sure I'd want to do it.

Crash pad? :D

Welcome to the forum :)

Tbars - I've never been up there before, but would bet that there isn't anything at the top. Heck not even sure I could find it again...

...but no worries, already thinking of a couple others that should be plenty fun without risking too much damage...;)

Ritsui - are you gonna come and play?

Honestly, it depends on how much snow we get. Our part time neighbors tend to need a lot of help when a storm comes in on a "holiday" weekend, but I have the 5th marked on my calendar :thumbsup:

Big Bear Discovery Center? Or start from the other end near the mine?

You referring to the one by the BB dump?.
Yup. The Doble mine is right there at the end of Holcomb Valley road. Great starting point for anyone coming up from the desert via the 18 and only a short ride to gold mountain or east John Bull. Nice views also...

Of course, Fawnskin would be closer to me :)

Tentatively thinking north from Fawnskin to White Mtn, into Holcomb Valley to play, east JB, and Gold Mtn or Jacolby Cyn. Subject to weather, and trail conditions of course...

Disco center seems better...

Yeah i'll bring the blazer, but she is on light trail duty till the wife gets a new sedan....

if its on saturday, i think im in

...not sure if i can make it yet...
...with froaders help, i found that clicking that i couldn't figure out when we were wheeling last time...i busted the lower bolt of the front sway bar...it's all intact so i couldn't see it...
...looks like the ranger will be the one i take if i'm not working..;)

Well at least you got it figured out...

I somehow managed to bust the bolt for the front pass. side end link just below the lca, so I've just been running with it disconnected...

...probably need to fix that one of these days.

..actually, mine was the same, lower bolt...don't know why i said swaybar...

so is this happening saturday?

I sure hope so! You going?

yeah im in!

I hope it Saturday too since i have to work on Thursday/Friday.

well we will have one on saturday for sure, even if its just cyber, exploder, and me

I'll be there along with my pop and his j**p...

...I figure that we can pick a meeting time once everyone has committed. ;)

looking like it'll start snowing around noon Thurs and keep on coming down till Mon morning. :D
