I am still commited too :D

Exploderpilot, since I believe you're coming the furthest, what would be a reasonable start time...

... and what qualifies as light trail duty?

Just trying to get an idea of what trails to run, even though I should have the smallest and least capable truck...

I just can't break the truck. The wife will probably come along now though, so whatever she deems unsafe probably won't happen.....but maybe she'll have a good time and start appreciating the sport....

as in arrive at disco center at 9?

I'll make sure i set my alarm clock this time :D

It'll be tough to wake the fam that early, but i'll make it happen.

We could go with a little later start if everyone would like... :)

... just trying to balance out the time since I'm sure that most will want to start heading off the mtn before dark.

Let me know. ;)

...starting to look like we won't be seeing as much as I had hoped...

...from NWS...
HEAVY RAIN IS EXPECTED FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY FOR ALL OF
SOUTHWEST CALIFORNIA...INCLUDING THE DESERTS. WARM SOUTHERLY WINDS
WILL CONFINE HEAVY SNOW ACCUMULATIONS TO AREAS ABOVE 8000 FEET IN
THE SAN GORGONIO WILDERNESS AND MOUNT SAN JACINTO STATE PARK.
SATURDAY NIGHT A COLD FRONT WILL MOVE SOUTH ACROSS THE AREA. THIS
WILL ALLOW SNOW LEVELS TO DROP TO AROUND 6000 FEET. MORE COLD AIR ON
SUNDAY WILL DROP THE SNOW LEVEL EVEN FURTHER...DOWN TO 4000 FEET OR
LOWER. SHOWERS AND THUNDERSTORMS WITH OCCASIONALLY HEAVY RAIN AND
SNOW ARE POSSIBLE SUNDAY INTO MONDAY MORNING. PRECIPITATION SHOULD
END MONDAY.

COLDER AIR WILL MOVE INTO THE AREA SATURDAY NIGHT AND LOWER THE SNOW
LEVEL TO 4000 FEET OR LOWER BY LATE SUNDAY. SNOWFALL OF 1 TO 2 FEET
WILL BE POSSIBLE AT THE 6000 FOOT LEVEL IN THE MOUNTAINS BY MONDAY.
MUCH HIGHER AMOUNTS ARE EXPECTED AT THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS. SEVERAL
INCHES ARE EXPECTED ABOVE 4000 FEET SUNDAY AND MONDAY.

...but it'll still be fun.

eh even if im the farthest away, big bear's still not the long of a drive.

boomer you may have the smallest car, but i've been in your car with you. you have the best driving ability/skill

...i'm thinking that everyone is going to wind up going in from the desert side...i think they might close the roads due to possible landslides...they said they are expecting to get 8-10" of rain and the hardest will be friday night thru saturday....

ted, you bringing the ranger or the explorer?

...if i make it i'll probably bring the ranger...it's got an open carrier but i would rather come down the hill on ice in it, than trying that in my locked X...the X steers like a tank and i would hate for it to hook up on a tight turn...
...i just need to get the X up there and play with it someday plus i still have to find some time to figure out the electrical problem before truckhaven...

looks like cyber is the "big dogg" on this trip
