...Fluid flying all over could be caused by the fan blowing it about (leak usually located at the hose connections to the pump or the steering box), or a cut power steering hose...If it was at the pitman arm seal, you would just get drips..:dunno:

k. it started happening right after i played with the pitman arm but i also installed the whole front end lift be fore i started it so.......:dunno:

...You could wipe it down with a rag or spray degreaser, let it sit and check for runs...Then start it for a few seconds, shut it off, and recheck...I think you will find the problem doing this..;)

it is a hose. i will post a picture in a few minutes. thanks and then do you know how much it will cost for a new one?

ok so i know how it haoppend to. when i was installing the lift i found a area that i needed to weld and i think what happed its while welding in the circled nut area i hit the line and put a hole in it.

time to use the billy mays stuff! spray it and it fixes the leak! lol. i wonder if that stuff works...

it is a small hole. oh and what hose is this referred as?

...I can't really tell by the pic but, is that a transmission line???

power steering line

it runs to the transmissoin i believe??? or somewhere back there

...Follow it and see where it goes on both ends...one end goes to the tranny and the other will go to the trans cooler or radiator if i'm not mistaken???

goes from the radiator to the tranny. this is why my power steering fluid is leaking right??

...That is a tranny cooler line...You can get those at a junkyard cheap..

...Your steering lines only go from the steering box, to the pump, and then back to the steering box...

is there any type of stuff i could use to fix it or do i halve to buy a new one??

buy a new one or find a good one at the wrecking yard, you don't want to mess around with a trany cooler line, if it busts on the road or trail somewhere you are stuck!

hey ok i have it unhooked from both ends and three of the clips tooken off but i cant get the last one because it goes all the way around the two lines and then hooks somewhere i cant reach on the truck. any sugestions?

Its bolted to the engine block on the passenger side. you can reach it through the wheel well. you may have to pull the plastic inner fender aside to get your socket in there.

the pressure in tranny cooler lines is relatively low.. compression fittings and a section of line could be used to replace that section. just my 2 cents.
