Since my FL gears are stripped ( in the motor) and the back two windows are SLLOOOOOOWWWWW..... I was thinking of swapping the manual windows from the XL to the XLT and scrapping the power windows for good. I was wondering what I would need from the XL for the XLT....... like the crank arms inside of what not.... and maybe some other bracketry. Ive got all the parts I need so I can get it done, im sure..... Just not sure how to do it...
So if you guys have clues or thoughts about what to take off the XL and would share them with me, that'd be great.
Thanks.

The whole window regulator and crank assembley. and the door pannel, unless you don't mind drilling a hole in yours and attaching the window crank handle there. So when you pull off the door pannel, everything that looks like it attaches to the window (motor, regulator, etc) needs to be removed and replace with what is found in the manual.

Hope this helps

As soon as I can get the front 2 doors open (front end damage pushed the fenders back... doors only open about an inch) ill take off the panel from the XL and see whats goin on inside... Ive had the panel off in the XLT for a few months, so I can help the window go up and down.. The gears still grab a little.. but now that it's getting warm out, I'd like to put the window ALL the way down, instead of half (where I could still get underneath the window to push up through the door).
Ive got all the front end off, and working on the fenders... it got dark before I could get them off. I got alot of the main bolts off though... Tomorrow I should get more progress done.... Ill let you know what I find out
