sweet X, rip off the roof racks imo, that will give it a better street look.
and also i think black rims look sick on a black truck, but again, just my opinion.
anyway, welcome, have fun with your new explorer!

Well took your advice and looks sweet, i like this new look, looks more like you said that street look:D , here's some pics...

After i took off the roof racks i was rollin around my city, i think i seriously lost count how many explorers i saw with them on, i think i was the only one without roof racks, lol :D now i need to measure out how big the electric sunroof will be, hopefully this will work out.

Unless you llike soggy headliners or going for a swim while driving :D

Looks like quite the project, you must have quite the budget getting rims, paint, and a 6000 watt system so soon lol.

Are some of the panels like flat black or faded? Maybe its just the reflection, I cant tell

Nah, they're very oxidized, right corner panel was replaced with a new one one my sis got into an accident, yea this is going to be an expensive project, but what the heck, i'm happy, lol, i think the next step will be the paint job which will run about $750 from my friends shop, useally charges over $1,000:)

lol, yea i thought about that after i posted that question bro, lmao, thinking of running plumbers tape then silicone over that just to be on the safe side:D

After seeing the pic with yours gone I think I'm gonna rip mine off tonight lmao

Cool bro, that would look nice:D

Oh btw, i'll be selling those roof racks to anyone who needs them, price=make an offer:)

Join the elite before selling there..

Lmfao, yea the silicone smells pretty bad for a couple days, I used some to seal my subs, and it was nasty smelling for a good 2 days

Lmao, yea, i was like wtf is this smell, i nearly choked, but all is good now, actually i'm thinking of having my friend fill in those screw holes then sand them down before the paint and get the sunroof done too before it goes to the painter, then the next step will be the hid lights and fogs, then redo the tint all around, one step at a time.:D

Wow man it looks pretty clean...

I have a few suggestions though...

Rather than relocating the dome light, you should attemp the overhead console install.
(It mounts right where you pointed to moving your dome light, has 2 dome lights, compass, and thermometer)

And you should swap center consoles, to the full console, it goes all the way up to the dash, looks alot better, and nicer IMO lol.

As for the holes, I agree, I would fill em in and sand em before you get it painted for best results...

Great advice, damn, did'nt think of that, now that would be sweet, thanks for the heads up, will be a cleaner looking job:D

Glad to help, thats one of the few things I didnt care for in some explorers, yours has the same ugly console as my 92 does...but my 95 has the nice, full console for some reason lol.

I bet you could get it for 50 bucks at a junkyard, if that...

Heres a crappy pic of mine, my interior was hella dirty, its been since cleaned LOL

And heres what the overhead console would be like:

Thats on my other list of plans, to paint that black...I had another 95 before this one, I went crazy with black spray paint, and clearcoat, I painted all the panels black, the overhead console, airbag cover and the vents, the center console, it actually looked good in person, and anything else that was that ugly faded black lol.
