Puddle Light mod issue

Like so many, I have not yet found a way to get to the bulb inside the housing. I found this thread on another forum, but it doesn't seem like a very good solution:

I was thinking about accessing it from inside the mirror by removing the mirror glass perhaps. Anyone attempt this yet by any chance?!

CDN, I went to my old friend at the Ford Fleet Service, he brought the body shop fellow in, and stated he thinks you have to access then by taking the mirror off. I was picking up my back cargo mat, and bumper protector, so he looked in the PC and it did not explain removal or replacement of puddle lite. So they email the Ford service folks for a procedure, maybe by Monday, I post a solution.

That would be sweet!! I'd really like to get those changed. I got all the other ones done so this kinda throws off the look. I wish they had put them into the door handles like on the BMWs, and those would have had to be LEDs! Slicker look!

Any update on this? I was just thinking (again) how nice they are to have on our other car...

Well the solution will come on my next service, I have to get my passenger mirror replaced, Craig will check with body man. But all indications are from the inside of mirror housing.
