I just checked the codes on my Explorer. Its been running a little doggy lately and its been concerning me.

I got the all clear on the KOEO test, but the KOER test brought up two codes:

65
Transmission Control Switch/Overdrive Cancel Switch Circuit Did Not Change States
R

36
System Indicates Lean At Idle
R

What do these mean? Or rather what can I do to correct these issues? I know I probably need to run some injector cleaner through the engine. Could I have a bad FPR?

Where did you get the code numbers and descriptions from?

I can look up the DTC's, but they're all 3-digit numbers.

All the codes I show for the 94 EEC-IV are 3 digit with the exception of the ABS. ABS DTC's are 2-digit but you'd have to be using the ABS diagnostic connector on the drivers side, not the EEC-IV connector on the passenger side to get the ABS codes.

The EEC-IV system was used from 83 up to 95 so it's possible those 2-digit codes are for earlier years or other vehicles.

Iron Weasel is correct, your '94 should be outputting 3 digit codes ('91 was the only year Explorers put out 2 digit codes).
