Well I thought my sport had the CLEAR glass, but from an angle it looks a little shiny, im hoping to go for an all blacked out look, and I want to get all my windows fully limo tinted, besides my front doors, and windhshield, but I dont want them to look "chromy" if you get what im sayin...

From this pic, I think the little windows for the backseat are fine, and clear

the only way they will look "chromey" is if you get the tint with a chrome finish. Most tints have a non reflective matte finish that will not shine. Your back windows are probably already tinted to about 60% so to go to a limo 20% will not take much..

Watch out for the po-po if you've got tint laws...

Just don't get a chrome finish tint like manaen said...

you also need to paint the black uprights on your hatch... hard to be all blacked out when they are faded grey...

Haha I know about the pillars, thats gonna wait til after christmas though, but as for the tint, I thought the stock ford tint was like a silvery (chromey) color and not just black?

Ive seen explorers with the stock tint on the back windows, and regular limo in the front door windows, and it looks horrible the fronts are black, and the backs are shiney and silvery like i said lol

(Tint laws around here are anything in back is fine, no more than a 6" strip on the fronts/windshield)

When i had my '99 the factory tint had a bronzy (sp?) goldish look to em when i tried tinting all the windows to match

and yes it did look alittle strange

Come to think of it, my '91 i think is the same way

Maybe that why i have not tinted the windows on it yet.

This is what im talking about, the middle windows (Backseat windows) look good with tint, but the rear cargo windows are tinted but look silvery, this picture perfectly shows what I mean:

The rear side windows and back glass on the 91-97 Sport (and the rear door windows on 4 door models) have what is called "privacy glass" which is coated to make it harder to see inside under some conditions, but maintain good visibility for driving, and comply with laws and law enforcement concerns.

You pretty much need to get the tint that is somewhat black and reflective (but not the solid reflective mirror chrome bling stuff) to match the look of the privacy glass.

The other option is to replace the rear three glass panels with new glass that doesn't have the "privacy glass" coating. Base model 2-doors usually don't have the privacy glass.

The later '98-01 Sports used a factory tint that's closer to a "black" look on the 3 rear windows, so swapping those in and using the same tint might look pretty cool, and then the 3 rear windows might even have a "blacked out" look but still have some visibility.
I have yet to confirm the '98-01 windows swap out with the earlier models, though.

Take your car to a professional to get it done...you will not be dissapointed and most offer warranties. My local company offers a lifetime no questions warranty on peeling, hazing etc.

I'd personally reccomend 5% all around with 35% on the windsheild.

It would be a professional shop, I know the owner who happens to be the one that does the tinting so it would be professionally done, bub no I can't get ANY on any windows up front including the front doors by law and I'm not gonna risk that they're really cracking down on that lately.

My rear passenger windows have no tint but all 3 windows in back including the hatch has that shiny stock crap

that sites a little out of date, illinois just changed their law

Windshield: Non-reflective tint is allowed on the top 4 inches of the windshield.
Front#Side#Windows: Any darkness can be applied 4" inches from the top of the window.
Back#Side#Windows: Any darkness can be used.
Rear#Windows: Any darkness can be used.

my altima has limo dark windows in the back and the front ones have a light tint.

i am thinkin of limo tinting the rear and the back windows of my sport limo tint and the front a light tint

i need to take some pics of my altima so i can show u guys it
