Question about sync.....

Guys I now own a beautiful 08 Eddie Bauer with GPS/DVD/Sync. My question is, and I already read the manual for sync, I can not delete the old paired cells from the prior owner from the Sync screen.

I selected phone

settings

then the cell

delete

then I confirmed, but nothing happens.

Any ideas/suggestions.
