I have a 1994 Ex XLT with 33x12.5x15 Tires on 15x8 rims.

Currently I have stock gear set up (3.73).
This is gonna remain this way till i get the money (might be a while)

Now, eventually I want to add a 3inch body lift to the Ex and put on a set of 35x12.5x15 (15x8 rim).

What is my best bet on re-gearing?
Wait till I do the 35's and regear to ____?
Regear for the 33s now at a lower ratio to keep the feel stock when i put on the 35s?

I'm not worried about gas mileage, and I baby the truck. This is never gonna see any offroad action just for looks only.

4.10s or 4.56

if its a daily driver id go with the 4.56
if u can do it asap and then all u gotta do is get the 35s

ok will the 4.56s with the 33s be to much or no problem?
cause 35s aren't happening till i need to replace the 33s and they're brand new tires.

(edit - yes it's a daily driver)

...for the cost of doing it, the 4.56's will be what you want...;)

...you need someone who can set the gears for you as this is not a job for just any mechanic, but a gear shop would be best as this is an investment that could go wrong if not setup proper....that kit seems to have what you need...if you plan to install lockers, now is the time to do so...
...the gear kit you found and install will be 1000 up, lockers start at 250-1000 each plus setup...i have the genuine gears up front and have had no problem so far...while shopping for the gears you will find they easily double in price...i hope this helps...:D

I'll check with my local gear shop (if i have one :p:) and see how much it'll cost to get lockers and gears put in if i provide all the parts. Thanks a lot.

So i can probably expect to pay ~$1000 for parts and another grand for service?
