Usually, all an officer needs (they are a fairly smart, capable bunch on the whole), is to get called into the Sergeants office and told to "close the door". This is a precurser to a serious A$% chewing which usually starts with "What the F%^& do you think you were doing out there today??!!!"

That's what I would imagine happens, and depending on the situation, I hope did.

I have no clue. I'm guessing the watch officer since the lady didn't speak english very well and seemed to be in a hurry to get off the phone. She cut me off when I was telling her what I saw, and I had to ask her what she said 3 times.

Of the 8 people that called, none filed a formal complaint? I don't know, it's just I see this all day here and figure the cops lives are always on the line... let it go. I mean if a cop was really doing something horrendous, then file. But there are people that don't know what to do when they see a round robin (if it's still called that). Cops should have to hold up a sign explaining everything that's going on ? no.

The bet's not stupid, if you wanna do it, funds will go to the above organization. I don't mind, I'll do the donation anyway. But for the record, I think the world of our cops and I appreciated what they do. I have family and my son is in training to become an officer as soon as possible. Some cops are a pain, but overall, they do a great job here.

There a name for the cops around here. We called them "TROUBLE SHOOTERS". If they see potential trouble or trouble, they'll use their 40 cal and see if you live to tell your side of the story in court. I've heard LAPD are second...

So whats got the CHP all fired up lately? was heading up the 5 over the grapevine to pick up a load yesterday and noticed more then the usual amount of officers patrolling that area. they was out there en mass yesterday.
