I have a kenwood KVt-715 in dash dvd player with a 7inch touch screen that is about 5 months old and still works and looks brand new. If I was to sell this about how much do you guys think I could get for it? I may be dreaming but I would like to get about 1200 for it. I might be selling this because I bought it thinking I would use it and I never do so I think something who could actually use it and enjoy it should benefit from it. Thanks for your time

Mike

My 2-cents:

First, check eBay and search the web for your head unit and see what it's selling for from online stores....if nothing similar to yours is up for auction, list it on eBay with a $1200 reserve. If it doesn't sell, at least you know what people are willing to pay out there. So you lose $1 or so for listing it, Big Deal!

If eBay isn't your thing, start with taking 25% off of what you paid. This factors in, above all things, that there is no warranty and that the unit has, in fact, been used (but not abused).

Finally, post in the FSTW board to see if there is interest out there. That's a big investment for anyone...

Realize that, much like computers and cars, once you drive it off the lot, it's has already depreciated. In most cases, unless you've set your sights low, you're not going to get what you want for it.

yeah the depreciation is what kills ya. I paid 1500 for it new so my hopes of getting what I want for it might be dashed but never hurts to try.
