Okay I want neons Im gonna do the interior first. Where do I wire them in to get power, i dont want the one you plug into the cigarette lighter. Im going with a neon blue 2 under the back seat and 2 up front. Where should I put the switches. Any other comments would be helpful.

What I am planning on is putting the switches down underneath where you turn on your headlights(left of the steering....duh lol) and you wire them from the positive in the neons to the switch, then from the switch to the positive on the battery(or as someone suggested to me an already existing fuse that runs off of the accesory power from the key). And the negative runs to a ground, such as a bolt on the metal like under the carpet.
And now that I think of it you dont need a switch if it runs off an already existing fuse that runs off accesory

i spliced my neons into the power wire of the cigarette lighter. i then grounded them on a peice of metal behind the dash. For the switch- i find using the area below the A/C controls a good spot. on my 01- the whole pocket assembly pops up - no screws- so its really easy to acces.. popping this off will also give u access the to the cig lighter wiring.
thats wut ive done. sorry no pics tho

Thanks for the help guys Im gonna pull everything off tomorrow and try and figure it out. Who could install these if I get it all pulled off and have no clue.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. I wired 6 interior neons in my X last week in under an hour. Piece of cake. positive to positive negative to negative and flip the switch. That easy. I'd be more than willing to help ya, but I'm a few thousand miles away.;)

how close are you to iowa??
