Any problems with putting a set of rear springs from an '03 Ranger 2WD conventional cab in to a '99 Ranger 2WD extended cab??? I'm hoping it is a direct bolt in. Thanks.
It is a direct bolt in swap. However, be aware that Ford made spring packs with 3 different rates in 2003 and possibly others in 99. If you have access to the donor truck, you could check the spring code on the Cert label on the driver door jamb and compare it to yours. The first character is the front spring code and the second is for the rear springs.
Thanks for the reply. The spring rates between the 2 trucks are different. I am trying to upgrade to a stronger spring. My '99 springs had a total of 3 leaves, 2 main and the bottom overload. The springs I am installing have a total of 4 leaves, 3 leaves and the bottom overload. From what I have found, the springs I wish to install are the heaviest/ strongest the Ranger's came with, but I wanted to make certain they would fit before I started to take things apart. Thanks again for the help.
