Will a 5 speed manual from a '98 Ranger 2.3 fit a '91-99 3.0L engine? Thanks.

nobody else will bite on your question, so here goes.....

my answer is NO !

the transmission cases are integral; in otherwords, no removeable bellhousing.

the bolt patterns are different between these engines and the starters are located on opposite sides of the engines. don't know if the gears could be swapped from one case to the other, but that would be a lot of work even if they would interchange.

my suggestion is to find the right tranny for your application.
